About Public Affairs Ministry

At Kilimani Springs SDA Church, we believe that true worship thrives where there is freedom. The Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) Department is dedicated to promoting and preserving the God-given gift of religious liberty, with special emphasis on the freedom of conscience.

Religious liberty is more than a legal principle, it is a spiritual value rooted in the heart of God’s creation. At PARL, we uphold the right of every person to:

  • Believe and practice the religion of their choice, without coercion.
  • Change or grow in their faith journey as conscience directs.
  • Live out their beliefs individually or in community through worship, service, teaching, and witness, while respecting the rights of others.

Guided by the vision of Kilimani Springs of impacting lives with Christ’s love, the PARL department ensures that our church is a strong voice for justice, fairness, and freedom. We engage in:

  • Advocacy: Speaking on behalf of those whose rights of conscience are under threat.
  • Education: Creating awareness among members and the wider community about religious liberty and its biblical foundation.
  • Engagement: Building bridges with civic leaders, institutions, and interfaith communities to foster peace, understanding, and mutual respect.

At Kilimani Springs, we see religious liberty as essential to our mission: it allows us to freely Gather, Grow, and Go in Christ’s service. PARL reminds us that our faith is not just a personal treasure but a shared light that must be protected so it can shine brightly in Nairobi and beyond.

At Kilimani Springs SDA Church, PARL is not just a department; it is a movement to ensure that every believer can worship freely, live faithfully, and witness boldly in harmony with God’s call.

Join us this Sabbath at 9:00 AM for worship,

fellowship, and a life-changing encounter with Christ.
